The Vision's Bron Breakker and Austin Theory are the reigning WWE World Tag Team Champions on Monday Night Raw, but the booking of the Raw tag team division has been the subject of internal debate within WWE.

That is according to WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select, who noted that due to the Street Profits being off TV following the birth of Bianca Belair and Montez Ford's son and Los Americanos being kept away from the WWE main roster until after AAA Triplemania, there have been discussions about featuring Ethan Page and Rusev more prominently.

Some within WWE, however, don't want Rusev and Page to simply get lost in the tag team division and elevating the duo has been more of a discussion than an outright planned direction for the team. One team not in line to be challengers for the WWE World Tag Team Titles, though, is the Creed Brothers, according to WrestleVotes. Brutus and Julius have not wrestled on Raw since May when they performed as Bruto Creedo and Julio Creedo of Los Americanos Hermanos as part of the El Grande Americano vs. Original El Grande Americano programme.

The SmackDown tag team division will be undergoing a refresh, though, with WrestleVortes reporting the plan is for Shinsuke Nakamura and Hiromu Takahashi to be positioned as challengers for the WWE Tag Team Championships, while Fraxiom are expected to have more TV time on the blue brand. The reigning WWE Tag Team Champions are Tama Tonga and Talla Tonga following their win on August 14.

WWE have released multiple tag teams in 2026, including the New Day, Motor City Machine Guns, and the Wyatt Sicks in the aftermath of WrestleMania 42.
