Baron Corbin could potentially be on his way back to WWE, almost two years since initially departing the company.

Reports in recent months suggested that Corbin - who has been competing on the Indies and most notable in MLW as Bishop Dyer - could be set to return to the company. MLW have seemingly turned real-life contract negotiations into an angle, with the company noting on X how the two sides are at an impasse, with the future of the current MLW Tag Team Champion set to be addressed on MLW Fusion on July 4.

A report from Fightful Select suggests that Corbin has indeed finished up with MLW after their recent shows in Chattanooga, with a WWE return seemingly on the horizon. Fightful originally reported in May that Corbin’s return to WWE had been ‘speculated within the organisation’. Dave Meltzer also noted how he’d heard that Corbin to WWE had been ‘heavily talked about’.

Several former WWE stars have returned to the promotion over the past year, with the likes of Matt Cardona, Rusev, and Aleister Black having rejoined the promotion, to different levels of success.
