Randy Orton is set to break a long-standing WWE record when he steps into the ring at SummerSlam 2025 on August 2 and August 3.

The “Viper’ is set to team with jelly Roll against Drew McIntyre and Logan Paul at SummerSlam, with the bout set to be the 17th career bout for Orton at the ‘Biggest Party of the Summer’. Orton will break the record set by The Undertaker, with the ‘Deadman’ wrestling his 16th and final SummerSlam bout at 2015 - a victory over Brock Lesnar.

Orton’s first SummerSlam appearance came in 2003, and Orton’s record at the event currently stands at eight wins and eight losses. Orton’s second SummerSlam victory came against The Undertaker in 2005, with three of Orton’s eight SummerSlam victories ending with the ‘Legend Killer’ winning the World Heavyweight Championship on three occasions - victories over Chris Benoit in 2004, Christian in 2011, and Daniel Bryan for the unified WWE World Heavyweight Championship in 2013.

The future WWE Hall of Famer hasn’t wrestled at the event since SummerSlam 2021, when Orton and RK-Bro partner Matt Riddle defeated AJ Styles and Omos to lift the WWE RAW Tag Team Championships.
