R-Truth Returns At WWE Money In The Bank, Helps Cody Rhodes & Jey Uso Defeat John Cena & Logan Paul

Six days on from announcing his release from WWE, R-Truth made his return at Money in the Bank 2025.

John Cena was about to win his and Logan Paul's tag team match against Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso in the main event of Money in the Bank as he decked Rhodes with the Undisputed WWE Title belt. Before Cena could make the cover, though, a hooded figure suddenly took Cena down with a Spear and followed up with a title belt shot to the head, with the figure revealing themselves to be R-Truth.

Cody Rhodes then followed up with a Cross Rhodes to Cena and pinned the Undisputed WWE Champion to close out Money in the Bank.

R-Truth looked to be on his way out of WWE, having announced his release just one week ago. It emerged shortly after that WWE had informed R-Truth his contract was not being renewed, which led to "We want Truth" chants across WWE programming, including at Money in the Bank. His departure was also met with overwhelming negativity within the WWE locker room.

Whether R-Truth has signed a contract extension with WWE is unknown as of the time of writing. Ron Killings has been a part of WWE since 2008 in his second run with the company.
