Potential Return Timetable For Will Ospreay

Following on from a wild Steel Cage match at AEW Forbidden Door 2025, Will Ospreay was scheduled to take an extended time away from AEW programming in order to undergo neck surgery. Ospreay confirmed reports of damage to his neck, putting some doubt into his future. Despite competing at Forbidden Door, there was reportedly no further risk that could be done to this particular issue. Ospreay is now on the road to recovery, and things are looking bright for a return… that way perhaps come sooner rather than later. 

Ospreay is now six weeks gone from his successful neck surgery, and a positive update has emerged from Saminder Singh of the Body Alignment Clinic in Rainham, Essex. Taking to Instagram, the following was posted. 

“@aew Allstar @willospreay 6 weeks post op and doing great! Still some way to go with but we’re on the right road. Jan 2026”

The biggest thing that fans will notice here is the date of “Jan 2026”, which seemingly indicates a return timetable for Ospreay. This aim for a comeback would see him return sooner than many had initially expected.
