Non-compete clauses for multiple former WWE talents are set to expire this month following a round of WWE releases in February 2025.
Main roster WWE talent are subject to 90-day no-compete clauses, wherein they are still paid by WWE and can work on projects outside of the pro-wrestling world, but are prohibited from wrestling on televised/broadcast wrestling events or signing contracts with other major pro-wrestling companies until the 90 days is up.
Per PWInsider, the following wrestlers are reaching the end of their 90-day no compete clause on May 9: Cedric Alexander, Karl Anderson, The Authors of Pain, Isla Dawn, Sonya Deville, Blair Davenport, Luke Gallows, Elektra Lopez, and Giovanni Vinci.
In the case of Cedric Alexander, he has been strongly tipped to join All Elite Wrestling and reunite with Hurt Syndicate running buddies Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin, and MVP, but these are just rumours at this point.
Gallows and Anderson are set to work Maple Leaf Pro’s May 10 show, and have been teased for an appearance in old stomping grounds New Japan Pro-Wrestling on May 9 in California. The Good Brothers are also set to face WWE golden era tag team The Powers of Pain in June.
