Stephanie Vaquer vs. Liv Morgan for the Women's World Championship is one of the headline matches at WrestleMania 42, but there was briefly concern this week that the match might be cancelled following an angle on the April 6 episode of Monday Night Raw.
The backstage segment saw Liv Morgan and Roxanne Perez begin to discuss Finn Balor's removal from the Judgment Day when Stephanie Vaquer attacked Liv from behind, causing Morgan and Perez to clash heads. Vaquer then threw Morgan into a TV to end the segment.
Morgan and Perez were in concussion protocol following the angle and they both developed haematomas on their foreheads, but reports have since noted that WWE are not concerned about Morgan missing WrestleMania.
In an update on the fallout from the situation, WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select has reported there is said to be no heat on Stephanie Vaquer following the angle. There is also a strong sense of optimism within WWE that both Liv Morgan and Roxanne Perez will be cleared in time for WrestleMania.
The programme between Liv Morgan and Stephanie Vaquer over the Women's World Championship was set up following Morgan's win in the 2026 women's Royal Rumble match. Vaquer vs. Morgan will take place on night one of WrestleMania 42 on Saturday, April 18.
