Plans can and often do change within WWE, but there might not be a WWE Draft in 2026. According to BodySlam, a WWE Draft is not currently scheduled within the company, and there is no tentative date listed for a draft this year.
WWE have not held a draft since 2024, when they carried out a roster shake-up following WrestleMania 40 which saw the likes of Gunther and Damage CTRL switch brands, while several NXT wrestlers were called up to the main roster, including Ilja Dragunov, Lyra Valkyria, Blair Davenport, and Dijak.
Instead of holding a WWE Draft in 2025, the company opened a transfer window between December 2024 and February 2025 that saw the likes of Logan Paul, Drew McIntyre, Braun Strowman, and even the commentators move brands. WWE also simply just moved wrestlers between brands, such as LA Knight, who was switched from SmackDown to Raw as part of his feud with The Vision in the summer of 2025.
The first-ever WWE Draft took place in 2002 as part of the introduction of the brand split between Raw and SmackDown. Regular WWE Drafts were held until 2011, and then the concept was revived in 2016 when the company brought back the brand split, with two WWE Drafts even taking place in 2019.
