The recent backlash from fans saw WWE change plans and re-sign R-Truth, but Nick Khan claims WWE creative are told to ignore social media.

Whilst passionate fans online are a vocal minority in WWE’s global fanbase, there have certainly been occasions when their opinions and protestations - as well as fans in the arenas - have forced WWE’s hand in creative plans. But speaking with Stephanie McMahon on What’s Your Story, WWE CEO Nick Khan claims WWE creative are told to ignore social media completely, a message also relayed by Triple H:

“Steph, I promise you this, I’ve never once searched my name on X, on any social media platform, on Google. If it says something positive, it has no relevancy to me. If it says something negative, it has no relevancy to me. I love hearing that Paul says that to you. I know he believes that [ignoring negative comments on social media]. And it’s something we encourage our creative team and writers. Like, don’t program for that. Program for the universe, not for a small portion of the universe who wants to criticise you. That doesn’t matter. Move on, put on a good product, the money will be there, the fans will be there, the results will be there,” said Khan.

Khan has previously noted how he ignores social media. It should be noted that Triple H has a very large presence across social media.
