WWE 2K25 won't be omitting a key element of New Jack's persona when the ECW legend is added to the game as part of downloadable content later this month.
New Jack will be featured in a WWE video game for the first time as he is one of the wrestlers in the Fearless Pack for WWE 2K25 to be released on July 23, along with Penta, Bull Nakano, Jordynne Grace, and KSI.
An iconic part of New Jack's character saw his music play throughout his matches in ECW and Bryan Williams, one of the developers behind WWE 2K25, has announced this will be a feature in the WWE video game for New Jack's No DQ singles matches.
"When New Jack is released with DLC pack 3, he'll come with two entrance motions. One that he uses for normal rule 1-on-1 matches and a special entrance that he'll use for non-DQ 1-on-1 match types. Both entrances are great, but the one he uses for non-DQ match types (again, 1-on-1) is amazing as New Jack will make his way to the ring, dragging a garbage can full of weapons. Jack tosses the garbage can into the ring, and the weapons go flying out. When the match starts, the garbage can and spilled weapons will be in play. And his entrance theme will continue to play throughout the match. For those not familiar with New Jack, this is not a bug. It's a feature, haha," Williams wrote.
Real name Jerome Young, New Jack was one of the stars of ECW between 1995 and 2001. He passed away in 2021 at 58 years old.
WWE President Nick Khan was instrumental in New Jack being added to WWE 2K25.
