After a few months of rumblings and rumours, last week WWE officially announced the return of the all-women’s Evolution premium live event, booking the event for Sunday July, 13 at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia - the same weekend as AEW All In: Texas 2025. WWE also announced along with it a Saturday Night’s Main Event and NXT Great American Bash. This marks the first Evolution show since 2018.

Fightful Select has learned of some of the internal reactions to the upcoming show, and they are not all positive. There were some who ‘took exception with the curtain call element’ of the show, with it being said that it isn’t something that would happen for the men’s roster in WWE. Additionally, Evolution is taking place on the same day as a Beyonce concert, which is happening nearby, so there are those on the WWE roster who believe that if the show performs badly against it, then it will give WWE the justification to not do another Evolution PLE.

There have been some positive reactions, particularly from legends who are said to be being brought in, who are looking forward to more women being showcased, and hope that the incorporation of legends can help boost the division. The general lull in excitement stems from the overall booking of the women’s division as of late too, with there being less excitement and buzz compared to the last Evolution show.
