Mistico Hoping To Return From Injury Next Week

Mistico is hoping to make his in-ring return from injury in the near future.

Mistico appeared on the May 27 edition of CMLL Informa and noted that he suffered the knee injury at a CMLL/Alto Voltaje show in Monterrey on May 17 when he teamed with his El Sky Team stablemates Mascara Dorada and Neon in a win over Los Guerreros Laguneros of Ultimo Guerrero, Gran Guerrero, and Stuka Jr.

The Lucha Libre legend noted he will need another week of rest and he is hoping to make his return at the CMLL show on Friday, June 5. Mistico is doing physiotherapy twice a day but he still has to be medically cleared to return.

Mistico remains the top star in CMLL and he is one-third of the CMLL World Trios Champions with Mascara Dorada and Neon. He is also the reigning CMLL World Light Heavyweight Champion, having defeated MJF for the belt at the CMLL 92nd Anniversary Show in 2025.

Mistico noted he has future dates scheduled in New Japan Pro-Wrestling and All Elite Wrestling. Mistico is one-half of the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champions with El Desperado, and he was previously one-third of the AEW World Trios Champions with Kevin Knight and "Speedball" Mike Bailey but they dropped the belts to The Dogs on the April 11 episode of Collision. After winning the AEW titles at Revolution 2026, it was announced that Mistico is signed to a CMLL-AEW dual contract.
