La Catalina will soon be back in the WWE sphere, with Luchablog reporting that Catalina will debut in Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide at the April 11 tapings of AAA TV in Mexico City. The move will make La Catalina the first wrestler to jump from CMLL to AAA since Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide was acquired by WWE and Fillip in 2025.
CMLL announced on April 7 that La Catalina was no longer a part of the company's roster as of April 1. Reports have claimed that La Catalina grew unhappy with her CMLL booking and she informed the promotion that she didn't wish to renew her contract.
How exactly AAA are planning to debut La Catalina is unknown, but the April 11 tapings of AAA TV will include a live episode, which is set to feature a celebration by Reina de Reinas Champion Lady Flammer. Speculation has hinted Catalina could interrupt the celebration to set up the next programme over the AAA Reina de Reinas Title.
La Catalina previously wrestled for WWE from 2019 until 2021, spending much of her time in NXT outside of one match on Monday Night Raw in November 2019 where she teamed with Sin Cara against Andrade and Zelina Vega. The 25-year-old had been a part of CMLL since 2023 prior to her departure.
