Kevin Owens may have sustained an injury at WWE's house show from the North Charleston Coliseum and Performing Arts Center in South Carolina on Sunday night.

Owens was in action against The Miz in the second match of the house show when KO went for a Superkick and his left leg gave out from under him, with Owens delivering a Superkick to The Miz's nether regions before the former Kevin Steen collapsed to the mat. The spot certainly appeared to have gone awry as The Miz sprayed water into the air like he had been kicked in the face, as was likely the plan, but Owens was unable to get his leg that high.

Following the incident, referee Charles Robinson checked on Owens, who was holding his knee. Owens then hobbled through the remainder of the match before he was helped to the back, with footage from sports journalist Kevin Bilodeau of Live 5 News revealing that Owens required assistance to go backstage.

There has been no official update on Kevin Owens' condition. The former WWE Universal Champion only returned from a long injury layoff at the beginning of August when he won a four-way to become the number one contender for the WWE Championship at SummerSlam. Owens had been out of action since March 2025 due to a serious neck injury that looked set to be career-ending at one point.
