More rulings have been issued in Janel Grant's ongoing lawsuit against Vince McMahon, WWE, and John Laurinaitis.

Judge Sarah F. Russell for the United States District Court for Connecticut has accepted Janel Grant's amended lawsuit in a ruling on Wednesday, May 7. Janel Grant filed an amended lawsuit in January 2025, adding to her original complaint that was filed in January 2024.

Among the additions which expanded the lawsuit from 67 to 101 pages, Brock Lesnar was officially named in the lawsuit. It was also alleged by Grant that Vince McMahon instructed her to produce pornographic material for WWE Vice President, Creative Writing & Booking Michael Hayes.

Janel Grant's attorney Ann Callis recently asked for the lawsuit to progress to discovery. The Connecticut judge has ruled to delay discover, however, largely accepting the motions put forward by Vince McMahon, John Laurinaitis, and WWE on the matter. Grant is able to request "motion-related" discovery around arbitration.

WWE, John Laurinaitis, and Vince McMahon have repeatedly pushed for the lawsuit to be moved to arbitration, citing a clause in the NDA that Grant and McMahon signed which stated all disagreements are to be resolved in private mediation. Defendants are expected to resubmit motions to compel arbitration by June 13.

Janel Grant, who was employed by WWE from June 2019 until March 2022, has accused Vince McMahon of sex trafficking, sexual assault, and physical and emotional abuse. WWE have been accused of attempting to sweep the allegations against McMahon under the rug, while John Laurinaitis is accused of sexual assault.
