Portions of Janel Grant's medical records were briefly publicly available this week following a court filing by counsel for Dr. Carlon Colker as part of his defamation lawsuit against Grant's attorney, Ann Callis.

Colker and his medical clinic, Peak Wellness, which are named in Janel Grant's sex trafficking lawsuit against Vince McMahon and WWE, filed a lawsuit against Callis on May 2, 2025 in the US District Court for the District of Connecticut. Colker has alleged that Callis and The Holland Law Firm engaged in a smear campaign against him and accused her of knowingly making false and defamatory statements about him.

Callis moved to have the case dismissed in July, arguing the lawsuit fails to reach the legal threshold for defamation, claiming that Colker is a public figure and that her statements about him were based on Janel Grant's own experiences and condition. Colker responded on Tuesday, arguing that he isn't a public figure, and even if he were, the comments made by Callis would still meet the legal threshold for defamation. He also claimed Janel Grant's medical records contradict Callis' statements about him.

Colker's response filed on Tuesday night included excerpts of Grant's medical records without redactions, POST Wrestling has reported. The records were briefly viewable on the public docket for the lawsuit, but they have since been sealed following an order from Judge Sarah F. Russell on Wednesday. Colker's counsel filed a redacted version of their response later that day with the medical record excerpts blacked out.

It is alleged within Janel Grant's lawsuit against WWE and Vince McMahon that Colker and Peak Wellness instructed her to take pills and undergo treatments that were not disclosed to her when she received care at the clinic between November 2019 and April 15, 2022.

In a separate case, Janel Grant filed a bill of discovery against Colker and Peak Wellness in July 2024, arguing that the medical records she had received were incomplete and inaccurate. A judge ordered for Grant's medical records to be released earlier this month.
