Injury Suffered By WWE Star Ahead Of AAA Appearance

The Lucha Libre AAA promotion put forth the first of three Verano De Escandalo shows last night, with tapings taking place for all three, featuring several big matches involving the likes of Dominik Mysterio and El Grande Americano as the promotion took over Arena San Marcos in Aguascalientes. Unfortunately, AAA may have had to change some plans ahead of the event due to an injury to a star from Monday Night RAW.

Although he was not officially scheduled for a match, Dragon Lee took to social media to reveal that he’d suffered a torn ligament in his thumb and would be unable to compete in AAA, sharing an image of a big bruise. It isn’t known when exactly Lee suffered the injury, but he did wrestle on this past week’s episode of Monday Night RAW, teaming with Je’Von Evans to take on Bron Breakker & Austin Theory of The Vision. 

Lee did recently become the brand new number one contender for the AAA Cruiserweight Championship after defeating Jack Cartwheel and Mini Vikingo in a number one contenders triple threat match in recent weeks, so there is a chance that this title match could have been set for Verano De Escandalo. It isn't known how long Lee will be out of action.
