Keith Lee had been inactive on social media for almost a year when he suddenly resurfaced on September 10 to endorse Darius J. Wright, a self-proclaimed "consciousness explorer" who has stated on multiple occasions that he believes the Egyptian pyramids were constructed using "laser technology." Reports then noted that Lee was "all in" on Wright's school and teachings.

Lee's endorsement of Wright caused a stir within pro wrestling circles on social media but it seemingly didn't have much of a lasting impact in All Elite Wrestling. Sean Ross Sapp noted in a Fightful Select Answers Q&A that Lee's post was a topic of conversation within AEW for about a day, but they haven't heard anything else about the tweet beyond that.

Keith Lee has not appeared for AEW since December 2023 when he took time off due to requiring a double surgery, which he underwent in early 2024, and Lee suggested in the summer of 2025 that he was cleared to wrestle once again. Lee was discussed for a return earlier this year, but the return never happened, with reports noting in July that the belief within pro wrestling was that Keith Lee has actually retired from in-ring competition.

Regardless of whether he has retired or not, Lee is still listed as an active wrestler on the AEW roster page. Sean Ross Sapp noted the former AEW World Tag Team Champion is still under contract with the promotion but he is not actively factored into any AEW plans at the moment.
