A fan has reportedly tried to attack MJF after AEW Grand Slam Mexico after MJF garnered a ton of heat inside Arena México.

The AEW/CMLL show saw MJF revert to his pro-America gimmick whilst fighting CMLL top draw Mistico, with MJF later unmasking the lucha legend to loud boos.

According to a report from Fightful Select, a fan was so incensed that they tried to attack MJF post-show at a hotel. MJF is said to be okay, and reportedly laughed off the incident, noting his pride at the situation.

No other incidents have been reported, and thankfully everyone was okay. Of course, such an incident would happen to MJF, with the former AEW World Champion noted for his heat-drawing abilities no matter the market he’s performing in.

After unmasking Mistico, MJF and The Hurt Syndicate were headed off by Kevin Knight and "Speedball" Mike Bailey, as Mistico recovered on the floor.

AEW’s Mexican bow has gone done well with AEW management, with Fightful’s report noting that the company were very happy with how the event turned out.
