The Texas Chain Saw Massacre Death Match Championship has not been seen in two years, but reigning champion Jeff Jarrett has revealed he is still in possession of the title.

The belt is not on display as part of Jeff Jarrett's My World set, but the former WCW World Heavyweight Champion retrieved the championship during his exclusive interview with Cultaholic's Tom Campbell, revealing he is still clutching on to the title.

"Of course, champions always got to have their belt on their shoulder. I grew up in the territory days, so you've got to defend it any time, anywhere, any place," Jarrett said.

After much pressing from Tom about if this meant the belt was defended on a 24/7 basis, Jarrett reiterated that was not the case. He is still bringing the Texas Chain Saw Massacre Death Match Championship to My World Live, however, for photo opportunities.

Tom Campbell is the host of My World Live with Jeff Jarrett and Grado at The Boundary Farringdon on Saturday, August 23, just one day before AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door. General admission tickets are £20, while VIP tickets are £80.

Jeff Jarrett defeated Jeff Hardy for the Texas Chain Saw Massacre Death Match Championship on the August 16, 2023 episode of AEW Dynamite as part of the promotion for the Texas Chain Saw Massacre video game. The match featured interference from the likes of Satnam Singh, Matt Hardy, Private Party, Sonjay Dutt, Jay Lethal, Karen Jarrett, and even Leatherface himself.

AEW were paid $100,000 for booking the match, with the funds being donated to the Maui Food Bank in Hawaii.
