Eddie Kingston has begun in-ring training ahead of a return from injury, with the ‘Mad King’ having been out of action for 15 months.
Kingston has been on the sidelines such suffering a fractured tibia, torn ACL, and torn meniscus during a match with Gabe Kidd in May 2024, and later complained of stomach issues whilst going through injury rehab.
It seems, though, that a Kingston in-ring return could be on the horizon, with the inaugural AEW Triple Crown Champion sharing a selfie on his Instagram story with the caption ‘f****** ring’. PWInsider reached out to Kingston for comment, with Eddie saying:
"I just want to hurry up and fight someone already in the ring. S*** ain't easy but what the f*** else am I going to do for a living? I don't care about anything else. Backstage or in front of the camera, I don't give a f***. I just want to be in my safe place and f*** someone up," said Kingston.
Rumours in spring 2025 suggested Kingston could be set to return at Double or Nothing in May, but Kingston himself quashed such rumours.
