WWE have had plenty of affiliation with US president Donald Trump and the current administration, whether it be parent company TKO working with The White House for a UFC event next month, Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque doing speeches alongside Trump, or Linda McMahon being a member of the Trump cabinet, not to mention the fact that Donald Trump is a WWE Hall Of Famer with many cameos over the years. Well, these ties have now grown stronger.

HuffPost has revealed in the latest disclosure filings for Trump that he has purchased between $15,000 and $50,000 worth of TKO Group Holdings stock (the parent company which owns both WWE & TKO). When it comes to the reason behind this purchase, The White House has stated that Trump himself does not pick and choose which companies, businesses or ventures he invests in, with these decisions taken by financial advisors on his team.

Trump’s purchase of stocks will likely lead to nothing significant in terms of his relationship to either WWE or TKO, though it is safe to never say never when it comes to both professional wrestling and Trump. To give context to Trump's investment, The Rock's appointment on the board of TKO came with millions of dollars worth of stock, rather than just $50,000. In the lead up to John Cena’s final match last year, reports suggested that WWE wanted Trump in attendance, though this didn’t end up happening.
