UFC fighter Conor McGregor made some headlines within the professional wrestling world over the last few months after making a comment about reigning World Heavyweight Champion in WWE, Roman Reigns. When talking about Roman Reigns, who appeared at UFC Freedom 250, McGregor asked “Who?”, implying that he didn’t know who one of WWE’s top stars was. According to sources, McGregor does in fact know who Roman Reigns is.

A report from Fightful Select has revealed that some sources within TKO have claimed that Conor McGregor is aware of Reigns and his comments were done solely to promote “corporate synergy” between WWE and UFC, both of which sit under the TKO banner.

In McGregor’s return to the octagon at UFC 329 against Max Holloway on July 11, the fight was over within just one minute and nine seconds after the former champion injured his leg. This isn’t the first time that “corporate synergy” has been discussed within TKO, with this being one of the reasons why Pat McAfee was thrust into the spotlight ahead of WrestleMania 42 in a controversial angle.
