AEW CEO Tony Khan officially announced following Dynamite Maximum Carnage that CMLL stars Mascara Dorada, Persephone, and Hechicero are signed to dual contracts with the two promotions.
Dorada and Persephone also confirmed they had inked dual contracts on the January 14 edition of CMLL Informa. It was reported in the summer of 2025 that Hechicero had signed a dual contract, but it was finally confirmed following Dynamite Maximum Carnage.
All Elite Wrestling and CMLL have been working together since October of 2023 and talents have often crossed over between AEW and the Lucha Libre promotion. AEW talents have also been featured prominently at the last two CMLL Anniversary shows, with Chris Jericho facing Mistico in 2024, while MJF dropped the CMLL World Light Heavyweight Title to Mistico at the 92nd Anniversary Show in 2025.
Mascara Dorada made his AEW debut in January 2024 and he was recently featured in the AEW Continental Classic, finishing with six points in the Blue League. He most recently appeared in AEW on the Worlds End Zero Hour where Dorada teamed with Bandido to defeat Rocky Romero and Mark Davis.
Persephone made her AEW debut at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2025. She recently unsuccessfully challenged Athena for the ROH Women's World Title at Final Battle, and Persephone also failed to defeat Mercedes Moné for the CMLL World Women's Title inside Arena México on October 17.
Hechicero has regularly appeared on AEW TV since his debut in January 2024. He is part of the Don Callis Family and unsuccessfully challenged Mark Briscoe for the AEW TNT Title on January 10.
