Christian Cage Out Of Action With Collapsed Lung & Broken Ribs

Christian Cage is on the shelf for the time being after sustaining a collapsed lung and three broken ribs at the AEW All Out pay-per-view.

Cage's injury was announced by Adam Copeland on AEW Dynamite, with Cope saying:

"A lot of people don't know is that the Tables, Ladders and Chairs Match at All Out in Chicago, Christian Cage was thrown into a ladder five minutes into the match. What we didn't know is that he ended up breaking three ribs, one rib broken in three places, and suffered a collapsed lung. Five minutes into the match, yet at the end he was standing on the top of those ladders reaching for our tag team championships. He did that because of his work ethic and he did that for all of you."

There is no timetable on Cage's return. Cope and Cage defended the AEW World Tag Team Championships against The Young Bucks and FTR in a Three-Way Ladder Match at All Out, with the widely-praised match ultimately being won by Matt and Nick Jackson.

Adam Copeland also announced on AEW Dynamite that 2027 will be his final year in professional wrestling and he plans to pursue the AEW World Championship, suggesting his tag team with Christian Cage is over, at least while Christian is out of action.

Christian Cage has been a part of All Elite Wrestling since 2021. He is a two-time TNT Champion, one-time AEW World Tag Team Champion, and one-time AEW World Trios Champion in the promotion. He also had one reign as TNA World Champion in 2021 as part of the AEW-IMPACT Wrestling working relationship that was in place that year.
