Bret Hart expressed his unhappiness with WWE this week as the three-time WWE Hall of Famer realised the company doesn't fully appreciate him after he was invited to SummerSlam, only to find himself without a seat inside MetLife Stadium.
The situation wasn't necessarily an issue which only affected the Hitman, however, as Bryan Alvarez reported on Wrestling Observer Live that several guests at SummerSlam ended up not having seats.
"They’ve been selling a lot of tickets lately, and it's actually been over a year that for a lot of shows there is a no comp rule. We're talking like main roster wrestlers are unable to get their family in because there's no seats. They've sold everything. He was not the only person that this happened to. Noelle Foley was there, and apparently the same thing happened to her. Like they told her she had a seat, and she got there, and then she ended up in the press box because they didn't have a seat for her," Alvarez said.
"My basic point, I don't want to defend them because they shouldn't have done it, but they weren't specifically targeting Bret. He was not the only one that this happened to at that show. Obviously, with that said, don't tell someone to come if you haven't specifically reserved an actual seat for them, especially someone like Bret Hart. Yeah, it's ridiculous, but it happened. It happened to several people there, apparently."
Bret Hart has been vocal about his views of modern-day wrestling this month, noting that he believes everyone would be better off if they copied him more.
