Bianca Belair has revealed that she is set to undergo surgery on her finger today, although the exact nature of the procedure and how much longer the former WWE Women's Champion will be out of action are unknown. Belair shared she would be undergoing finger surgery on Instagram Stories.
The multi-time women's champion has been out of action since WrestleMania 41 in April 2025 due to suffering a broken finger. The injury was worse than initially believed as it affected her knuckle.
Belair revealed on 106 & Sports in December 2025 how she suffered the issue:
"So I broke my knuckle, not my finger. I broke my knuckle, I broke the joint. It's something that I thought was going to be a very straightforward, you know, 8-12 weeks. It's been almost six months at this point.
"I was in a triple threat with Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY. And we were going to the top rope, because that's what we do, and we came off the top rope and Rhea landed straight on my hand and it just crushed everything in my finger. So it's been a crazy journey. You know, being an athlete and having an injury, you rely on your body and now my body's not doing what it's supposed to do. But I'm hoping that I can be back in the ring soon."
Prior to Belair making her surgery announcement, rumours had suggested that she was expected to be involved in some capacity at WrestleMania 42, and people within WWE believed she would be at the show.
Belair has made a couple of appearances on WWE TV while out of action, most notably at Evolution 2025 where she served as the special guest referee for the No Holds Barred match between Jade Cargill and Naomi.
