At WrestleMania 42, Bianca Belair emerged as a surprise for the WWE fans in Las Vegas, revealing that she was pregnant. Belair has been absent from the ring since all the way back at WrestleMania 41 in 2025 after suffering a hand injury that was taking a very long time to heal, keeping her on the shelf for an extended period of time. Belair has revealed that it was this injury that led to her and Montez Ford opting to start a family.

Speaking in a vlog on her YouTube channel, Belair revealed that tough journey that she’d been going through when it comes to her recovery, and how it led to a monumental change in her life.

“So as everybody knows, at WrestleMania, I broke my finger. I broke my knuckle, and I have joint damage, and I lost a portion of my joint, which can’t be fixed. I originally thought it was going to be a pretty straightforward recovery. They said 8 to 12 weeks, but it just started not really healing correctly. It still won’t bend to this day, and I can’t get in the ring. It kind of just got to the point where I hit four months, and I have always wanted to have a baby. I’m not getting any younger, and honestly, this is what I want to do, and I feel like for so long I was kind of putting what I wanted to do and myself on the back burner. Me and my husband, we had a talk, and I kind of just told him, ‘I’m ready just to do something for me, and I’ve sacrificed enough, and I’m ready to have a baby.'”

On the road to WrestleMania, there was a belief that Belair had undergone surgery on her finger and was entering some light training in preparation for an in-ring return, until her pregnancy was revealed at the show.
