Becky Lynch Vs. Sol Ruca At WWE Saturday Night's Main Event Switched Back To Non-Title Match

WWE have flip-flopped on their plans for Becky Lynch vs. Sol Ruca at the May 23 edition of Saturday Night's Main Event.

The match set up on Monday Night Raw was announced as a non-title match, with Lynch even noting in the promo segment with Sol Ruca that the former NXT Women's North American Champion had done nothing to deserve a shot at the Women's Intercontinental Title. WWE suddenly announced on Tuesday, though, that Sol Ruca vs. Becky Lynch would be for the Women's Intercontinental Championship and Lynch promoted the match as such on her social media account.

The match has been changed again, however. WWE have removed any advertisements promoting Lynch vs. Ruca as a title match and WWE are now advertising the contest as a non-title affair.

Becky Lynch addressed the changes, tweeting: "There seems to be misinformation regarding my Saturday Nights Main Event match! (The biased wrestling media is pushing the agenda that the title should be on the line!!) NOT GOING TO HAPPEN!!!! I CLEARLY stated that SUCKER Sol Ruca has done NOTHING to earn a shot at MY VERY PRESTIGIOUS IC TITLE!! We will see if she can hang with the GREATEST female wrestler of all time. A LOT of people don’t think she will, but we will see!! Thank you for your attention on this matter - BTB."
