Andy Williams (The Butcher) Collapses At Independent Event

Andy Williams, who has wrestled as The Butcher for several years in the likes of AEW (until their contracts expired back in June of this year) and on the independent wrestling scene, collapsed at the Enjoy Five Year Anniversary event, requiring immediate emergency medical attention. 

This worrying situation was first confirmed by Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, which was followed up by an official statement from Enjoy Wrestling on X, who provided some insight on the situation regarding the 48-year-old. 

“Andy collapsed at the end of his match this evening. Our doctors on staff tended to him immediately, administering CPR until the ambulance arrived. We sent everyone home and are at the hospital now waiting for more information. Thanks to everyone who helped and has reached out.”

It was noted that those in attendance said that paramedics were doing chest compressions on Williams and using a defibrillator. During the match, fans said that Williams’ legs buckled and he eventually collapsed and passed out, with tag team partner The Blade calling for medical help.
