Andrade Makes Surprise Appearance In House Of Glory

Andrade’s contractual situation has been one of the more bizarre stories of 2025. Following his release amid reported wellness policy violations, Andade showed up in his former home of AEW. It wasn’t long until it was revealed that Andrade actually had a non-compete clause, which stretched to a year in length, thereby removing him from AEW programming, with him not being mentioned on-screen ever since. Andrade has since shown up in promotions outside of the US, with it being revealed that his non-compete clause did not include overseas promotions. However, he has now appeared in another US promotion. 

Last week, Andrade revealed that his lawyers had received a note from WWE giving him permission to work in the WWC promotion in Puerto Rico. Last night, Andrade made a surprise, unannounced appearance at House Of Glory’s Winter Warfare event in New York City, New York, suggesting that Andrade may now finally have permission to work in promotions in the states. Interestingly, AEW’s Dynamite & Collision both take place this upcoming week in the same city, as the company heads to the Hammerstein Ballroom. 

It remains to be seen whether Andrade will make his return to AEW, or whether his permission to appear in other promotions does not extend to Tony Khan’s company.
