Fans shouldn't expect to see Aleister Black make an appearance on AEW Dynamite anytime soon.

WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select has reported the belief within All Elite Wrestling is that Black won't be returning to the promotion. Even those close to Black in AEW have cautioned against expecting him to return in the foreseeable future.

"After speaking with a source, we are told the current belief within AEW is that Aleister Black won't be returning anytime soon. Internal chatter suggests that even those who remain close with Black would caution against expecting a return in the foreseeable future. So it looks like Malakai Black is going to remain ‘dead and buried’ and it is what it is," WrestleVotes said.

Aleister Black might not be finished with AEW forever, though. Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful has been told that the bridge with Aleister Black is not considered burned within All Elite Wrestling.

Aleister Black wrestled for AEW from the summer of 2021 until his contract expired in February 2025. Black was criticised by his AEW colleagues during his time with the company over a perception that he was resistant to "doing business", which included a reluctance to do jobs and frequent claims of being injured.

Black returned to WWE following the expiry of his AEW contract, but he was released by WWE just one year on from his comeback as part of post-WrestleMania 42 roster cuts.

It emerged following his release that people in AEW were "pretty negative" about the prospect of Aleister Black returning to the organisation.
