Following much speculation, WWE star AJ Styles is heading back to TNA at Slammiversary on July 20.

On last night's (July 17) edition of TNA Impact, a vignette aired showing clips of Styles performing in a TNA ring before somebody (off-camera) blew the dust off one of his old P1 ring jackets.

It's unclear in what capacity The Phenomenal One will be at Slammiversary and whether this is a one-shot deal or part of a longer run. Styles hasn't wrestled since the June 16 episode of Raw, where he beat JD McDonagh.

In April, the 48-year-old said he would love to return to TNA to wrestle at least one more match.

A TNA original, Styles worked for the promotion from their first show in 2002 until December 2013. He is a former two-time TNA World Champion, six-time X-Division Champion and two-time TNA Tag Team Champion. Widely considered one of the biggest stars in TNA history, he previously rejected the opportunity to be inducted into the TNA Hall of Fame.

AJ Styles is still planning to retire by June 2027.
