There have been some changes in the behind the scenes make-up of AEW’s hierarchy over the years, and another has taken place in the form of the Senior Vice President of Business, Partnerships, and Video Games position.

The man in this role, Nik Sobic, has been with AEW since the birth of the promotion all the way back in 2019, having a heavy hand in the likes of live events, overseeing operations, and video games, but he has now parted ways with Tony Khan’s company, as reported by Alex McCarthy of Wrestling Intel.

Sobic was one of the key figures in the production of AEW’s Fight Forever video game, which was published in 2023. The game received mixed reviews and achieved only average levels of success. On the back of this, there has been no talk of any other games coming anytime soon in the future for AEW. Wrestling Intel were told that AEW does not comment on decisions like this, so it is unclear if his departure is related to the Fight Forever game specifically. Sobic previously worked alongside Tony Khan at Jacksonville Jaguars.
