A lawsuit has been filed against All Elite Wrestling and AEW World Champion Jon Moxley (real name Jonathan Good) by a former production member, who has alleged negligence, civil assault, and battery.

Christopher Dispensa filed the lawsuit on May 30 in the Wayne County Circuit Court. Dispensa worked for Broadcast Service Group - who provided production crew members for AEW shows - between 2019 and December 5, 2024, when he was demoted by Broadcast Service Group without explanation.

Dispensa has alleged he sustained severe neck and shoulder injuries due to being unexpectedly shoved to the ground by Jon Moxley during his Steel Cage Match with Kenny Omega on the May 10, 2023 edition of AEW Dynamite. Dispensa has claimed he required cervical fusion surgery, shoulder surgery, and other treatment. The alleged injuries occurred after Jon Moxley went to grab a screwdriver outside of the cage and shoved Dispensa to the ground.

Dispensa has claimed Moxley was only supposed to grab the screwdriver and the fall was unplanned, with Dispensa's legal team alleging this was an example of civil assault and battery by Moxley, who showed intent to harm or a complete disregard for Dispensa when he allegedly deviated from the original plan. The lawsuit also claims Moxley exhibited gross negligence, while AEW have been accused of gross negligence due to allegedly not providing measures to protect production staff, and for hiring and training Jon Moxley.

It is further claimed that Dispensa told ringside doctor Dr. Michael Sampson, Director of Performance Psychology Chris Manzione, and a member of AEW's athletic training staff about the injury. Dispensa's legal representation told The Takedown on SI that he was eventually told he would not be treated any longer by AEW.

Dispensa's legal representation claimed to The Takedown on SI that AEW upper management knew about the incident but Dispensa never discussed it with them. Dispensa also didn't file an official incident report on the night of the shove, with his attorney claiming Dispensa had another job he had to get back to. Moxley and Dispensa also briefly discussed the incident after the segment.

Furthermore, the lawsuit alleges that Moxley had a history of disciplinary issues in AEW. The Takedown on SI has reported that high-level sources in AEW have said they were unaware of any disciplinary issues with Moxley, noting he is a respected member of the locker room.

As part of the lawsuit, Dispensa is seeking damages of over $25,000. AEW told The Takedown on SI when reached for comment: "AEW does not comment on pending litigation."

Other lawsuits filed against All Elite Wrestling have been moved to arbitration, including one filed by Ryan Nemeth and another filed by Kevin Kelly & the Tate Twins.
