Former WWE, WCW, ECW & NJPW wrestler Charles “2 Cold Scorpio” Scaggs was put behind bars last month following a hearing which resulted in him being deemed a “danger to public safety” after he admitted to brandishing a firearm in violation of his bond. Yesterday, he was finally sentenced.
Per PWInsider, Scaggs was sentenced to six years in prison following a guilty plea on charges of assault and armed criminal action. However, due to having no criminal history, he has been given a chance to earn probation after an intensive 120-day program. It is noted that instead of serving the entire sentence, in Missouri the defendant can go to a DOC facility to complete an intense, boot-camp-style program to deliver a shock to an offender, with a report being delivered after this period on the defendant’s progress. This would result in Scaggs either serving his sentence under probation or else having it denied and going into prison.
He was initially arrested on the morning of June 15, 2024, following an altercation at a Love’s Travel Stop where Scaggs worked as security. When police arrived at the scene, the alleged victim had stab wounds on the head, chest, buttocks, back of leg, and abdomen, with Scaggs also sporting several injuries. Scaggs initially pleaded not guilty and claimed self-defense, though agreed to a plea deal on lesser charges prior to a trial beginning.
