For the last few years, WWE’s premium live event post-shows had been held in press conference form, with Chief Content Officer Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque and several WWE stars from the show receiving questions from those in wrestling media, both in and out of kayfabe. This format has seemingly now come to an end, as evidenced in the aftermath of SummerSlam Night One.
On last night’s SummerSlam Saturday post-show, Triple H and WWE wrestlers alike were at a roundtable (similar to that of WWE’s pre-show panel), speaking in-character and being asked questions by WWE’s own personalities and interviewers rather than anyone outside of the company. Joe Tessitore remarked that this was the new format of post-show in which Triple H would now be speaking directly to the audience rather than taking Q&A questions. This suggests that this will be the format for all PLEs going forwards, not just for SummerSlam 2025.
WWE’s use of the post-show press conference format had been decreasing in recent months, with more focus on in-character interviews, roundtables, and backstage interviews, with the promotion veering away from the prospect of speaking with the media.
