Rhino making his entrance in AEW

Rhino made his AEW debut this past week, stepping up to answer an open challenge against reigning ROH World Television Champion Nick Wayne on the May 7 edition of AEW Dynamite as the company took over the Masonic Temple Theater in Detroit, Michigan. Wayne would defeat the legend in a little over three minutes. With Rhino being a Michigan native, it was a fun moment for both him and the audience.

Spoilers for upcoming Ring Of Honor shows follow

The following night, AEW headed back to the venue for a live edition of Collision, and it was accompanied by tapings for upcoming Ring Of Honor shows on HonorClub. Rhino once again made an appearance in front of his hometown crowd, teaming up with Hologram to take on the Frat Boys pairing of Cole Karter and Griff Garrison, and then squashing Max Caster. However, don’t expect to see Rhino stick around in AEW or ROH.

As noted by Sean Ross Sapp on Fightful Select, Rhino is not signed to AEW, and his appearances were just one-offs for the Detroit, Michigan area.
