It emerged in reports over the last week that WWE were considering an AAA excursion for ‘The Giant’ Omos, who has not wrestled since his acclaimed run in Pro Wrestling NOAH where he reigned as tag team champion. Prior to that, Omos hadn’t competed in nearly a year, last appearing on Friday Night SmackDown for the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal in 2024.

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter provided some more news on this prospect, clarifying that those in WWE creative had in fact talked about him going over to AAA, but as of now nothing is definite, no plans have been put in place, and no dates have yet been scheduled for Omos, so it may still be some time before anything surfaces for him.

Despite not being used in much of a capacity in WWE, Omos signed a new WWE deal in June of this year. Since the acquisition of the company, WWE has begun to have more of a presence in AAA, with the most recent example being the appearances of Dominik Mysterio, El Grande Americano, and Dragon Lee in the AAA Mega Championship scene, with a four way announced for the upcoming TripleMania 33, which will air on YouTube.
