There was concern that Drew McIntyre may be injured following a rough landing during his match at WWE Backlash.
The Scottish Warrior was competing for Jacob Fatu's United States Championship along with LA Knight and Damian Priest in a four-way to kick off the premium live event this past Saturday. Towards the end of the bout, Priest hit McIntyre with a South of Heaven from an elevated position through two tables.
Unfortunately, Drew's head narrowly missed the wood and instead connected with the concrete floor, with reports noting that the 39-year-old was being checked out by medical personnel afterwards.
Thankfully, it would appear that the former WWE Champion was not seriously hurt during the spot.
Providing an update on McIntyre's condition during the post-Backlash press conference, Paul 'Triple H' Levesque said:
"Luckily, everybody is healthy. I think Priest got a tooth that he's hoping will stay inside of his head for a couple days here and get solid again. Other than that, Drew McIntyre, a little banged up but totally fine".
Aside from Drew's close call, the match was also notable for playing host to the WWE debut of Jeff Cobb.
