Nick Aldis raises Chelsea Green's hand after her WWE Women's United States Title victory at Saturday Night's Main Event

Back in February, Chelsea Green picked up an injury during a triple threat Elimination Chamber qualifying match with Tiffany Stratton and Lash Legend, damaging her ankle and being ruled out of an advertised bout in AAA. It was noted at the time that Green’s injury wasn’t as bad as initially believed, though we now have an update on her condition.

According to WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select, Green is getting notably closer to a return to in-ring action. It has been revealed that Green is “progressing well” with optimism that she will be back sooner rather than later. This falls in line with previous reports about Green’s injury not being a super serious one.

In recent weeks on Friday Night SmackDown, Green has still retained a presence on WWE programming, commonly sitting ringside in a wheelchair to cause issues for the likes of Tiffany Stratton, building bad blood despite her sporting a walking boot. It was also noted in the report that it was Green herself who pushed to remain on WWE programming, with it expected that she will stay as a “prominent character on SmackDown and AAA”.
