Back in May, Scorpio Sky made comments about the fact that he was fit and healthy to wrestle, but had been benched by AEW, with no indication on when he’d be back in the fold or why he had been left off TV for so long. Sky hadn’t been featured on AEW programming since all the way back in 2023 when he wrestled Andrade on AEW Collision, and has since been competing elsewhere on the independent scene. He finally returned last night.
Max Caster emerged to issue one of his now signature open challenges on AEW Collision, and it was answered with a video package showcasing the returning Scorpio Sky, who had enlisted Top Flight to his ranks. It was narrated by former tag team partner Christopher Daniels, who bigged-up all of Sky’s accomplishments in AEW. He came out to defeat Caster handily in under a minute.
Later in the month after Sky's initial comments, Tony Khan responded to what Sky had said, and commented on the prospect of a Scorpio Sky return, detailing that they’d been in discussion about ideas for a potential return to AEW programming - this has now happened.
