Ronda Rousey Shuts Down Idea Of AEW Run

Back at the AEW Revolution 2026 PPV, Ronda Rousey made a surprise appearance by facing off with ‘Timeless’ Toni Storm following her match with Rousey’s close friend, Marina Shafir. With Storm proceeding to take time off of AEW on the back of this event, many assumed that this was the reason why Rousey did not show up on AEW programming in the aftermath of this appearance. It was soon revealed that Rousey’s cameo was planned as a one-off due to her being in the area. When it comes to the possibility of a potential run in AEW, Rousey has shut this idea down. 

When speaking on the Up & Adams Show with Kay Adams, Rousey was asked about whether or not she’d want to have a run in AEW.

“No. That life of being on the road is probably more time-consuming than doing training camp at home. I had a great time but it just happened to be in town and my best friend (Marina Shafir) was there…” 

It was learned following AEW Revolution that Rousey’s appearance was meant as a “f*** you” to TKO and WWE.
