Ronda Rousey pointing at AEW Revolution 2026

Ronda Rousey shocked fans when she showed up at AEW Revolution 2026, confronting Toni Storm before leaving the ring with real-life friend Marina Shafir. There were reports that those in WWE were shocked by Rousey’s appearance, though it was later noted that some of the reasoning behind her AEW cameo was due to Rousey wanting to take aim at TKO. More has now been learned about Rousey’s AEW status.

Per Fightful Select, several sources have claimed that Rousey is not All Elite, with no deal being put to paper with the company. It is noted that Rousey’s appearance came thanks to her living in the area of the show, and that her relationship with Tony Khan is a strong one. Rousey previously wrestled one match in ROH in 2023 alongside Shafir in tag team action, with numbers for that show doing great - something which sources also said may have encouraged her appearance.

When it comes to the mixed reaction she got from live fans, it is noted that AEW were happy with the response, though Rousey was reportedly expecting a different reaction. There are currently no known plans for Rousey as of yet, though a match with Storm will have to be on hold as it emerged this week that the former AEW Women’s World Champion would be out of action for the rest of 2026 at least.
