Rhea Ripley has been absent from WWE programming ever since back at the Clash In Italy 2026 PLE when she retained her WWE Women’s Title against Jade Cargill. It emerged that she’d picked up an injury during WWE’s European tour, not wrestling since a house show in Portugal on June 3. Ripley has now broken her silence on the injury and provided an update on the specificities behind her ailment.

After watching Jake Hager get knocked out at a Powerslap event, Ripley was interviewed by Nina Drama, revealing that she had suffered a torn meniscus.

“I hurt my knee. I got a slight tear in my meniscus. It’s just healing. It’s getting there. It’s getting stronger. I just can’t bend it very well. It’s gotta bend, guys.”

When asked about her return and recovery, Ripley revealed that the current timetable was unclear due to the tear happening in a “weird spot”, meaning that it is uncertain how her body will heal and recover.

Reports over recent weeks revealed that WWE had been changing plans in the women’s division on SmackDown, with Ripley originally set to set her championship at the likes of Night Of Champions and SummerSlam.
