WWE are interested in bringing back three-time women's champion and MMA megastar Ronda Rousey, according to a report by Bryan Alvarez on Wrestling Observer Live. However, whether Ronda would be interested herself is unknown.

Shayna Baszler - a close friend, tag partner and opponent of Ronda's - was recently released by WWE. This led to Alvarez explaining:

"WWE does still want to do something with Ronda Rousey. Shayna Baszler obviously retired Ronda Rousey, or at least her last match in WWE. So I could not say that there’s no chance we’ll never see Shayna Baszler again. I cannot say we’ll never see Shayna again because if WWE makes a deal with Ronda and Ronda wants Shayna back, she’ll be back."

Rousey left WWE in 2023 following a loss to Baszler at SummerSlam. She wrestled a handful of tag team matches on the independent scene in the months after, but the last of these came in November 2023.

Rousey has been critical of WWE since leaving the company, also accusing former Superstar Drew Gulak of inappropriate behaviour backstage.

Ronda's debut match came at WrestleMania 34, teaming with Kurt Angle to defeat Stephanie McMahon and Triple H in a mixed tag match. She since held multiple championships in WWE and won the 2022 women's Royal Rumble match.
