Potential Partner For Danhausen At WWE Backlash Reportedly Discussed

Backlash 2026 is fast approaching as WWE heads to the Benchmark International Arena in Tampa, Florida later tonight, following up on WrestleMania 42 last month. One of the matches on the card sees Danhausen team up with a mystery tag team partner to take on the duo of The Miz and Kit Wilson. Speculation on who this mystery man will be has emerged. 

According to Bryan Alvarez of F4WOnline, speculation has surfaced on discussions within WWE that the mystery tag team partner for Danhausen will be music star Jelly Roll. While it has not been confirmed, this is the name reportedly thrown about as a frontrunner. 

In the lead up to WrestleMania 42, reports had emerged that WWE were planning a tag team match pitting Cody Rhodes & Jelly Roll against Randy Orton & Pat McAfee, though with the backlash from their involvement in the WWE Championship program and McAfee stepping away from pro wrestling, plans on this clearly changed. This has left Jelly Roll free to compete in another match, which is why this new tag team bout may have been booked.
