Nikki Bella Reveals She Underwent Surgery Two Weeks Ago

In the lead up to WrestleMania 42, it was known that Hall Of Famer Nikki Bella was dealing with some form of injury, putting her in question for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship fatal four way at the show. There were some reports of Bella pushing hard to try and get ready in time for the event, but she ultimately had to stand aside for the returning Paige, who was rumoured to have re-signed with WWE yesterday, just hours before WrestleMania kicked off. 

Nikki Bella has now broken silence on her injury, revealing that she actually underwent surgery two weeks ago when speaking on the WrestleMania 42 post-show. 

“I actually got surgery two weeks ago from yesterday. I managed to break, sprain, and tear my ankle. When I’m headed into Birmingham to get surgery. Guess who is in Birmingham. I was like, ‘Brie, there is no way I’m going to make WrestleMania, but you still have to have your moment.’ We were both like, ‘The only person who will make it feel special and like family is Paige.’ It’s crazy how life works. It’s part of the journey. There is no one else, and I truly mean this, no other WWE superstar in the past or now, that I would want to take my place than Paige.”

Paige’s WWE return saw her and Brie Bella win the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles.
