More Details On Blake Monroe/Thea Hail Botched Match Finish

A whole bunch of stories and narratives have emerged regarding the botched NXT Women’s North American Title match finish between Blake Monroe and Thea Hail over the last couple of weeks. We’ve had stories reporting that the referee was praised for calling the match on the fly, reports stating that the referee was criticized for not properly checking on Monroe following the botched kick out, explanations regarding Hail’s inexperience not giving Monroe time to recover after being winded as a reason for the botch, and more. 

Well, even more details have come out regarding the very messy situation. According to Fightful Select, multiple sources have made the claim that Mornoe said she was injured after the spot, and was unhappy about the way things unfolded during the match. When it comes to unhappiness, many of those involved in Monroe’s creative process were not happy either. There is no indication on the severity of any injury suffered by Monroe. 

It was noted after the botch that the creative process and plans for a few wrestlers in NXT was affected and being rewritten/re-filmed on the fly.
