Pro Wrestling EVE held their Mean Grrrls event last night in London, England, and the show featured a notable title change featuring a top name from AEW’s women’s division. Kris Statlander challenged for the Pro Wrestling EVE International Title, defeating Anita Vaughan to claim the gold, ending the former champion's reign at 92 days. In the past, the title had also previously been held by Jamie Hayter, prior to her signing with AEW.
Statlander’s victory marks her first championship win since holding the TBS Title back in 2023. Heading into AEW All In next week, Statlander earned the number one spot in the Casino Gauntlet match, so she will be hoping that more gold comes her way soon, in the form of the AEW Women’s World Title.
With AEW heading back to the UK for Forbidden Door next month, Pro Wrestling EVE will continue to feature some AEW flavour. In an advertisement surrounding Forbidden Door that was held at the show, it was announced that both Julia Hart and Skye Blue would be coming to Pro Wrestling EVE on their August 23 show. Will Ospreay also took to social media to hype up their appearance.
